Dreaming of a White Christmas

The Mexican heritage in my family means that we celebrate Christmas Eve more so than Christmas Day, which leaves us plenty of time to hit the trails after an evening of food, drink and family.

My mom’s wish came true this year as the snow began to fall as the sun set on Christmas Eve and we awoke today to a gorgeous blanket of sparkly snow. A white Christmas at last!

The temperatures were the coldest we’ve had out here yet (low in the single digits °F and highs in the teens) but the day was absolutely picture perfect.

A real Christmas tree:

Wishing you all a very joyful holiday season!
