Snow, sun, snow, sun, snow, sun. When we get a dump of snow, we wish it was sunny and warm. When it’s too sunny and warm we pine over those cold snowy days. In reality, most wintry/springy days here in Boulder, like yesterday, are a picture perfect combination of both:
And in between the snow and the sun we get to run on wet-slushy-muddy trails which everyone likes to complain about but which we’ll desperately long for come July when the entire Front Range is bone dry and on severe fire risk. Go ahead and splash in puddles!
Frozen & dirty shoes are happy shoes:
While it may not be doing us any favors in terms of our acclimatization for this weekend’s 90°F Zion Transverse adventure, I love that it’s April and still snowing. Because there’s nothing quite as fantastical as running on a quiet mountain trail that twinkles in the evening sun:
and sprinkles as you run by!
It’s spring time, the weather is supposed to be crazy. Plow on!
